New documents never before seen by the public that were discovered by Rachel Maddow and her team show shocking messages that former Vice President Spiro T. Agnew sent to Saudi Arabia in the 70s and 80s. His messages were not only rife with anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, but the former vice president himself wanted to conspire with Saudi Arabia so he could “continue to fight” the United States Zionists that he feared were a danger to the world and the reason why he had to resign, believing he was “framed.” Saudi Arabia would come into the equation by providing him money, which it appears actually did happen.

Before President Richard Nixon was even fully tangled up in the Watergate scandal, his vice president had to resign because of corruption from earlier in his career. He blamed Jews for his fall from grace and sent a letter to the former crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Fahd bin Adulaziz Al Saud, and pleaded for help, according to MSNBC. “I need desperately your financial support,” Agnew wrote in his letter that was unearthed by MSNBC.
The letter goes on to say that “your highness is already familiar with the unrelenting Zionist efforts to destroy me.” He also wrote about how he thought former Attorney General Elliot Richardson “attacked” Agnew. He felt Richardson thought Agnew “could not be trusted to act properly in the Middle East.” His explanation for why Richardson would lay such imagined attacks on him was because of the Jews. “The Zionists in the United States knew that I would never agree to the continuance of the unfair and disastrous favoring of Israel and they had to get me out of office there so that I would not succeed Nixon,” he wrote.
He believes that “The Zionists have orchestrated a well-organized attack on me” dating back to 1974 by attacking him in the courts. He thought they wanted “to bleed me of my resources to continue my effort to inform the American people of their control of the media and other influential sectors of American society.” He had been known to remark about Zionists poisoning the country and its discourse, and a listen to the Nixon tapes also reveals shocking anti-Semitic language from President Nixon himself.
The Jewish Voice has been reporting about rising anti-Semitism around the world, even right here in Brooklyn, where multiple attacks against Jews in places like Borough Park and Williamsburg have made the news. Rep Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) has been making comments which only serve to further stoke the flames.
She compared Israel to Iran and said she “chuckles” when Israel is called a democracy in the Middle East. Omar took issue with the nation-state law which defined Israel as a Jewish state.
She also stepped into it with her tweets about AIPAC paying off politicians and Israeli relations being “all about the Benjamins.”
